Thaddeus, the gentleman handyman, came by yesterday and installed it in Alice's room and it was like a miracle! All of her recent sleep problems are gone. She is not fussing when put in her crib and she is sleeping really well. I think she must have just been too hot lately. She slept 12 hours last night and took 2 two hour naps today. And even now she is asleep for the night!
I recently bought Alice a ton of folk music, which we are really enjoying. My favorite so far is Songs For Mother And Child To Grow On, by Woody Guthrie, http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000001DNY/qid=1090728881/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/102-1128625-3428945?v=glance&s=music&n=507846
The music is really simple and fun. Alice really responds to it.
In other news, I am reading a book called The Obesity Myth by Paul Campos. All I can say is please read this book! If you are fat read it, if you are thin read it. I wish everyone in America would read this book. Granted, I haven't finished it yet but I have gotten so much out of the first 2/3 that I am recommending it anyway. In general, things are going well. Work has picked up nicely and Alice is the best thing that ever happened to me. Oh and to crown our joy Brian and I have now solved the Saturday New York Times Crossword two weeks in a row!
